Iterative methods for nonlinear operator equations

Abstract:

In this talk I will give a brief review of iterative methods for operator equations, including Uzawa method, approximate Uzawa method and Richardson method. I will then discuss the general convergence theory of these iterative methods when the operators are approximated via adaptive finite element methods or boundary element methods.
