Solving Einstein's Equations: PDE Issues (Part 1 of 2)

Abstract:

This talk will give an introduction to the Einstein evolution equations. A variety of issues will be discussed including the importance of choosing gauge conditions appropriately, constraints and constraint damping, and various boundary condition issues.
